Will Vogt is a photographer whose work documents the lives of his friends and family. Marked by recurring annual events and activities, his photographs offer a glimpse into a world of privilege that remains remarkably unchanged by contemporary society.

Rarely revealed in this light, Vogt’s images capture activities and venues that remain inaccessible to most. His pictures portray those who frequent elegant gatherings, wide sandy beaches, seaside cottages, exclusive golf courses, racetracks, and hunting fields on Florida plantations, South Texas ranches, and British shooting estates. Though Vogt photographs the wealthy, wealth is not his subject, rather it serves as the backdrop for a way of life filled with traditions and sporting activities that serve as the content of several distinct series within his larger, long-term project, A Sporting Life.

Vogt’s first monograph ‘These Americans’ was published by Schilt and launched at Photo London Spring 2023. His work has been the subject of features and reviews in journals such as Wallpaper, Interview, AnOther, Collector Daily and New York Magazine. Vogt’s award-winning photographs have been exhibited nationally with solo and group shows at venues such as the Museum of South Texas, Ocean House, Watch Hill Improvement Society, Avondale Arts, and The Barn at Downing Yudain in Stamford Connecticut. When not attending a variety of annual events, he divides his time between his South Texas Ranch and summer home in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.
